HOW DO I KEEP A HELMET CLEAN?
How to wash a helmet
  1. Gently wash the helmet with a damp sponge. Use a mixture of cool water and mild detergent
  2. Wipe off any excess soap with a damp sponge
  3. Dry the helmet with a cloth
  4. Air dry the helmet in a shady area or indoors if some moisture remains
HOW DO I MEASURE MY HEAD CORRECTLY?
HOW DO I MEASURE MY HEAD CORRECTLY?
To measure correctly:
  1. Keep your head up straight
  2. Wrap a cloth tape measure around the head approximately 1cm above the ear and 2 cm above the eyebrows.
  3. Keep the tape measure horizontal
  4. Take the widest forehead circumference measurement
If you do not have a cloth tape measure, a piece of string can be used and you can then measure the length of string used with a flat tape measure. Remember, helmets should fit closely to the head with no movement. If in doubt, we recommend you buy a larger size as the adjustment systems will make it easier to modify.
HOW SHOULD I STORE A HELMET?
To help maintain the life of your protective helmet you should ensure you store it properly. You can do this by:

  • Storing the helmet away from direct sunlight and UV-light
  • Storing the helmet away from sources of moisture
  • Storing the helmet away from high temperatures
  • Allowing your helmet to air-dry after each usage
DO I NEED TO INSPECT MY HELMET?
We recommend that you regularly inspect your helmet for signs of damage and to ensure you are maintaining the helmet properly. To inspect the helmet you should:

  • Inspect the exterior for signs of wear or breakage
  • Check that the chinstrap screws are tight using a flat-head screwdriver
  • Check that the chinstrap does not have any damage and the fastener latches and releases
  • Check the inner pads for rips or tears
